内容简介Alumina cement is widely used as a binder of castables that maintain high refractoriness in furnaces required to meet the recent high level of steel production in Japan. However, the strength of alumina cement deteriorates in many cases due to the phase transition of a calcium aluminate hydrate formed on hardening of the structure. Furthermore the variations of particle size and the chemical composition of alumina cement have a dominant influence on the flow properties and the mechanical strength of castables.
