内容简介With the passage of time, the production machinery for refractories has improved in response to the demand for improved refractory quality and dimensional accuracy.On the other hand, the decrease in the use of shaped refractory products due to the increased use of unshaped refractory materials has presented machinery manufacturers and machinery suppliers of presses, mixers, and so on with the severe reality of a decrease in production. At the same time, an improvement of productivity has been demanded for refractories production machinery with additional considerations such as environmental clean-up, safety countermeasures and noise abatement. Improvement is demanded in the ultimate stage to establish automatically controlled equipment. For example, a conveyor should be excluded in material transportation and the dust problem in the plant is fairly well solved with use of containers. In the present paper, an outline of mixers and presses currently used in refractories manufacturing plants is presented.
