内容简介In blast furnace operations, variation in the metal/slag drainage rate among tap holes, i.e. higher slag fraction in liquid draining from one tap hole and lower slag fraction liquid in draining from the other, is sometimes recognized. To quantify the deviation, a mathematical tapping model is introduced assuming the hearth contains a vertical low permeability zone. In the model, the hearth is divided in two parts by a vertical low permeability zone which allows metal to permeate freely but not the slag due to differences in the viscosities and the wettability of the molten metal and slag. During tapping, the slag level of the tapping side is lowered and only metal is supplied from the other side to compensate the static pressure in the furnace hearth resulting in a difference in the slag fraction in the drained liquid. The calculated results for the model reproduced the observed values.
