内容简介At present, several mass% chromic oxide is generally added to porous plug alumina refractories to enhance the corrosion and penetration resistance. However, in accordance with recent global environmental considerations and regulations, the amount of chromium usage is limited. On that account, the development of new alumina-type porous plug refractories is considered to be an important problem. In the previous paper it was reported that products with 8 mass%, zirconium silicate addition had a spalling resistance equivalent to those with chromium oxide added. The corrosion and penetration resistances were nearly identical and the differences were not as large as expected. Therefore, with an objective to further increase the corrosion and penetration resistances, an improved result was obtained with use of fine spinel powder.
