Following on from our extremely successful AGM in May, I was fortunate to be invited to represent the Electric Steel Makers Guild at the annual meeting of our North American counterparts - the Electric Metal Makers Guild. The meeting was held in the fantastic city of Seattle during the 3rd week of June. Technical presentations and a plant visit took place over 3 days. Whilst there wasn't a set theme for the meeting, a number of the presentations focused on the safety aspects of EAF plant operations.
