内容简介The conventional gunning method which is used to deposit refractory linings in a steel ladle does not produce a lining with sufficient durability to the repaired bodies, because they require larger amounts of water than that of castables. The water is primarily used for obtaining sufficient fluidity to transfer the slurried raw material and then gun it at an objective wall through a pipe and tube by pressurized air. Due to the above problem, this paper presents a new lining device called the Rotary-shot System which realizes an improved service life of a steel ladle by decreasing the amount of water in the raw material and also decreases the work load due to automation.
