内容简介It is well known that in Japan, nearly 30% of the all electricity is supplied by nuclear power which plays a vital role as a fundamental energy supplying source. In recent years, together with the necessity to meet the increasing energy demand, the superiority of nuclear power generation has been recognized as an energy supplying source with a low CO_2 emission, which is supposed to greatly influence global warming. At present, the advancement of nuclear power plant with use of light water reactor technology together with the development of high temperature gas-cooled reactors and fast breeder reactors has been progressed continuously, where the realization of safety, reliability, and the economy of the plant are indispensable. In particular, the control rod of a nuclear reactor is a most important mechanical part which plays a role in the regulation of power output as well as shut down capability in an emergency incident.
