内容简介Monolithic refractories consisting mainly of Cr_2O_3 raw material are extremely common in waste melting furnaces because of the requirement for high corrosion resistance. However, Cr_2O_3 has a chance of generating hexavalent chromium compounds that are harmful substances and therefore the achievement of chromium-free linings is strongly desired. Our company sought to realize non-cement castables as alternatives to raw material substitutes for Cr_2O_3 and found a new opening to improve the corrosion resistance of the matrix. This idea was reported in this bulletin in 2009. At the present time the authors report on progress in development of a trial model of this new type castable.
