内容简介In continuous casting of steel, there are a number of nozzle connections required and the role of sealing materials is very important to prevent leakage at the joints. Therefore, with an aim of effectively preventing leakage, a new sealing material (hereafter called improved product) has been developed. This new material incorporates an emulsion type binder and Al powder together with a newly emulsion type plasticizer developed with consideration of the environmental problem. At present, the effectiveness of the joint material has been confirmed in actual furnace conditions and the results are presented in the following.
