内容简介

It has been learned that slide plates with added metal, or metals, have high strength, and high corrosion resistance, and thus they are suitable for use under severe conditions such as casting steel with a mild deoxidizing condition, casting under the throtting condition of the slide plates, etc. The metal(s) contained in a plate is changed in service by the heating effect of molten steel, and reactions with carbon in refractories or oxygen in the molten steel, which result in the reinforcement and densification of the slide plate structure. On the other hand, the addition of metal(s) lowers the spalling resistance. This study was conducted to evaluate the effects of additives on the metallic reactions by the heat from molten metal, with the intent of increasing the slide plate durability by maintaining or improving the spalling resistance.
