MgO-C bricks are the most important (principal) refractories used in the production of steel. With the aim of further improving their properties, samples of MgO-C brick with added carbon nano fiber (hereafter referred to as CNF) were prepared. The effect of adding CNF on the properties of the bricks was investigated and the microstructure of samples was studied. This paper reports the results of the research.
