It has become possible to obtain fused magnesia-chrome aggregates of various qualities and compositions, as a result, fused magnesia-chrome aggregate are widely used in magnesia-chrome brick, to help realize optimized properties, such as high hot strength and high corrosion resistance. In this work, the authors obtained various kinds of fused magnesia-chrome aggregate of different chemical composition, and using these materials, manufactured re-bonded magnesia-chrome test bricks to investigate the relationship between the aggregate chemical composition and the physical properties.
