内容简介It is known that refractory corrosion proceeds by the intrusion of molten iron or slag through pores in refractory materials. This intrusion phenomenon relates strongly to the wettability of refractories, and many investigations on this subject have been carried out. This paper focuses on the wettability of spinel refractory to molten iron for the basic study of the corrosion mechanism. We have investigated the influence of SiO_2 addition on the wettability of MgAl_2O_4 spinel substrates by molten iron.
