内容简介As the result of the development of a chrome-free castable of the Al_2O_3-Y_2O_3 system for use in waste melting furnaces, a corrosion resistant castable with better qualities than the Al_2O_3-Cr_2O_3 system castable with 10 percent Cr_2O_3 was developed. Table 4 shows erosion models for the various castables. The reason for the high corrosion resistance obtained by the Al_2O_3-Y_2O_3 castable, is considered to be formation of a dense YAG layer by reaction between yttria and alumina resulting in restricted slag reaction.
