内容简介

This review introduced briefly the numerical method of a heat conduction equation using the Excel Macro-program. Although this calculation is not yet practical for real purposes because of the limitation of the Excel calculation sheet, the largest advantage of using Excel may be the easy and visual understanding of the characteristics of a partial differential equation such as a heat conduction equation. The calculation of a three dimensional heat conduction equation using the Excel Macro-program is not impossible, but it is not practical because it requires a wide working range in the Excel sheet. Certainly, there is no particular problem using software on the market for three dimensional calculations. By the way. the above mentioned Excel Macro-program and the Fortran 90 program that is able to cany out a three dimensional heat conduction equation using the Crank-Nicolson implicit method and the successive Over-relaxation method are open to the public on http://www.caero.mech.tohoku.ac.jp/ as free software. Please download them and use practically. Finally, the author is now using Excel for calculating various mathematical models governed by multiple partial differential equations. Fig 11 shows results of one of them, which will be presented later.
