Using trigonometry, a three-dimensional analysis of the roughness of the surface of refractory materials was carried out by applying the techniques of digital photography, free image analysis software and the Excel system. Some level of quantitative performance was obtained and the result was applied to the development and improvement in the quality of refractory materials
