内容简介Pre-wetmixing materials are a kind of monolithic refractory. However, this word has not been defined in the glossary of the Technical Association of Refractories Japan and JIS standards. The usual monolithic refractories are mixed with liquid at the maker's factory or at the user's factory. Castable refractories as representative monolithic refractories are wet-mixed at user's factory site in principle. Typical pre-wetmixing types of monolithic refractories are ramming refractories, plastic refractories and patching refractories. One reason for pre-wetmixing refractories before delivery is the need for high mixing power or special mixers for ramming refractories or plastic refractories. Another reason is trouble free transportability owing to lack of self hardening at ambient temperature. On the other hand, when conventional castables or low cement castables are delivered after wet-mixing in a manufacturer's factory, there are problems of segregation and hardening during transport. Although, pre-wetmixing type castables have-the merit of improvement in the labor environment through the workload reduction on the user side, they cannot use the self hardening binder. Conventional pre-wetmixing castables therefore contain a heat setting binder or they must be remixed with a quick hardening additive at the user's installation site.
