内容简介The main causes of damage in refractories are corrosion, spalling and abrasion. Damage due to corrosion and spalling has been reported on various materials in the literature in large numbers until now, however, as for damage due to abrasion there are few reports. Damage due to abrasion was mainly reported on the refractories for rotary kilns, and therefore, it can be said that the abrasion resistance characteristics are playing a very important role in the possessing of rotary kiln refractories. This paper reports on the influence of the coarse grain aggregates and the heating temperature on the abrasion resistance of alumina based castable refractories.
