内容简介The asbestos-cement board containing 10-20 mass% chrysotile could be detoxified i.e., chrysotile made to disappear, by heating at 800 deg C for 3 h. The detoxified asbestos-cement board was ground and sieved to obtain powder under 180 micrometers in diameter. This powder was mixed with Ordinary Portland Cement and used to make secondary cement pieces. The compressive strength of the Ordinary Portland Cement piece cured for 7 days was 70 MPa, but that of the secondary cement piece containing 50 mass% of the powder was decreased to 32 MPa. No chrysotile existed in these secondary cement pieces; namely, perfectly detoxified product could be obtained.
