内容简介In this work, the effects of the combined addition of polycarboxylic acids and inorganic electrolytes on the properties of alumina cement were studied, and the following results were confirmed: The degree of the effect(s) of inorganic electrolytes on dispersion (fluidity and viscosity), setting time, and strength of alumina cement differs for different kinds of inorganic electrolytes. It might be possible to improve the dispersion, adjust the setting time, and increase the strength, by optimizing the kind(s) and added amount of inorganic electrolytes. It was clear that the effect of inorganic electrolytes can be controlled by the use of different kinds of dispersants. In practical use, the dispersants have to be optimized. To achieve castables of better durability, it is important to control the quality of installation as well as the fluidity, working time, and setting time. Henceforth, the improvement of castable properties by optimization of alumina cement needs to consider both the castable qualities and newly developed additives.
