Steel production processes and refractories technologies are inseparably connected, so the development of the steel industry up to the present can't be discussed without considering the progress in refractories technologies. To achieve further increased profitability, improvement in the productivity, and promotion of higher quality steel products, has meant that the role of refractories has received closer scrutiny than ever before. The relationship between steel-makers and refractories manufacturers is an important stakeholder who can not remain in an only relationship between user and maker and therefore it is necessary to work together to execute the needed technological developments by maintaining more collaboration than ever for the mutual sustainment of development and growth.
