内容简介The aforementioned discussions are summarized in the following. 1) The difference of labor cost in between Japan and China is a fundamental fact. Therefore, Japan had better increase the added value by 10 times per person. Further, they had better study the ways to obtain profit by handling the foundry wares of Chinese private enterprises. 2) The flow of the conventional foundry-ware production to China cannot be prevented. Concentrating on the production of the most advanced foundry wares desired by the machinery industry is the way of survival for the Japanese foundry industry. Japan should make use of its high technology and skill together with its accumulated knowledge to advance the industry. 3) Further to mention, the Japanese style purchasing has reached a limit, and the ordering system should be changed. Without the conversion, no co-prosperity with the new China is possible. In the midst of such developments, the Japanese foundry industry should aim for advanced foundry production from the following viewpoints: 1) Customer-minded technology and market development. Technical development to raise mechanical properties. 2) Production technology to supply parts rather than crude cast wares by improvement of the processes. 3) Parts with thin walls, light weight, compound shapes and net-shape production. 4) Short delivery, rapid development, shortening of development time by means of IT utilization, and reduction of inventories. 5) Advancement to the world market with foundry articles. 6) Close cooperation with users of foundry wares and the posture of designing-in. Above mentioned items are requests to the Japanese foundry industry.
