内容简介Recently, from the environmental point of view in the world, the refractories for cement rotary kiln has been changed from the conventional quality of magnesia chrome brick to chrome-free brick. The authors have presented papers on the development of chrome-free bricks of magnesia spinel system with the performance attained in the actual kilns. On the other hand, owing to the fact that the cement industry has been playing an important role by utilization and recycling of various wastes in a great deal, the refractories of refractory bricks in the cement industry, suffer from a more stringent condition compared with the past. On that account, the wearing conditions against refractories have been changed as well. Further more, the operating condition is diversified in relation with the firing conditions of kiln, requiring countermeasures for them. This paper deals with a newly developed chrome-free brick suitable to the operational conditions of kiln, from the view point of the very intensive thermal loading condition in the burning zone.
