The casting installation is the main method in the repair of various molten metal containers for steel making now. The work load increases if the installation equipment such as mixers is used only for this small amount. Then we developed Al_2O_3-SiO_2 based dry-repairing material to reduce working load and installation time (containing curing and drying time), or to prevent lamination in drying. The dry material is a material that doesn't contain water, and it is necessary to pack it enough by the vibration. Therefore, the Dinger & Funk equation was used to consider the appropriate grain size distribution and packing density. The q value in this equation is varied 0.1, 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 for three lands aggregates such as mullite, sintered alumina and chamotte.
