内容简介The apparent thermal conductivity (lambda_(ap)) of a green taphole mix was determined by lab experiment and a curve-fitting calculation. In the initial period, the apparent thermal conductivity (lambda_(ap)) is constant through the entire taphole mix, which can be explained as the effect of boiling and condensation of volatile matter (binder). The initial stage apparent thermal conductivity (lambda_(ap)) was applied to indicate the temperature distribution/change calculation of the taphole plug in the furnace. The calculation results allowed a possible explanation for the mechanism/process of structure formation m a taphole plug, which was reported by Yamanaka et al.''
