We developed a SiC material having high microwave heating efficiency by making a low bulk density that avoids an increase in the susceptor weight that leads to low heating efficiency. The thermal shock resistance was also improved. We intend to promote further the industrialization of a microwave heating furnace by developing suitable kiln furniture for various materials having different dielectric loss factors.
