内容简介Four compositions (A, B, C and D) possessing relatively high melting points in the three component phase diagram of magnesia, titania and alumina (MTA) were selected and the properties of aggregates prepared from these compositions were investigated. Pressed brick-like specimens were fabricated using these aggregates and the following results were obtained: Composition "A" was excellent in thermal spalling resistance. Compositions "C" and "D" were excellent in slag penetration resistance. Material with composition "C" was used in various castable refractories and the hydration resistance and corrosion resistance of the castables were investigated. The following result was obtained: (3) Castable with added MTA aggregate had excellent hydration resistance and corrosion resistance properties.
