In recent years, interest in life cycle assessment (LCA) has grown sharply and accelerated data collection in Japan. Indispensable to LCA is the development of comprehensive life cycle inventory (LCI) data. This report concerns our macroscopic LCI study of alumina raw materials, which are used in large quantities for refractories.
