In 2001, our company issued a Statement for Environmental Quality and started activities for obtaining ISO 14001 certification across the board. We have contributed to designing energy conserving kilns and improving the working environment by developing refractories and related products. Also in our production activities, we have paid attention to resource conservation and environmental preservation. In this report, we describe the relation of our products and production activities to the environment, and introduce our new environmental activities which were started last year.
