内容简介Ashes produced in incinerators consist of incineration residue and fly ashes, and these ashes have been made harmless, reduced and recycled by melting ~(1-2)). At the present time, wear in the roof refractories of ash melting furnaces is caused mainly by alkali and chlorine gas. Castables based on Al_2O_3-SiO_2 materials with improved durability over conventional products were developed and the progress is described in this paper.Castables in which expanded cracks, structure deterioration and slag penetration were suppressed were developed by adding liquid binder and increasing ultra-fine SiO_2 powder. These castables are under field tests to observe durability.
