内容简介This is the third time I appear in this column. The first time was nine years ago, when I was the chairperson of the Committee on Refractories for Steel Casting, and the second time was four years ago, when I was designated vice president of TARJ. I am thankful for those opportunities to serve the association and learn many things from my seniors. I am now going to talk about gardening, my only hobby. When spring comes, sasanqua flowers make way for camellias in our garden. Japanese daffodils, which have started to bloom against the cold in December, are in all their glory and show off their white, chaste flowers of elegant fragrance. As they grow gregariously along the Sea of Japan coast in Fukui, daffodils spread by themselves in our garden and flourish in clusters before I become aware. Yellow and red berries of "senryo" harmonize well with white daffodils, making me feel peaceful.
