内容简介Recently, alumina-spinel castable is thought to be structural spalling caused by the formation of a slag absorbing layer.Mineral composition change in the matrix of alumina-spinel castable through thermal treatment was investigated and the matrix composition to obtain maximum slag penetration resistance was examined. The following results have been obtained.(1) In the fine grain system of alumina-alumina cement-spinel, cement reacts with alumina to form CA6 and CA2, spinel reacts with alumina to form alumina-rich spinel at high temperatures.Therefore, in the alumina-spinel castable containing fine grain spinel, the fine grain alumina, essential for slag penetration resistance, is consumed during the thermal treatment.(2) The finer the grain size of spinel added, the better alumina was soluted into the spinel per unit quantity at high temperatures.In order to increase the slag penetration resistance of alumina-spinel castable, it is necessary to make a composition in which the matrix has sufficient alumina to prevent slag penetration.
