内容简介Using point counting method, the amount of secondary spinel in high-fired magnesia-chrome bricks is determined under a microscope. It is clearly shown that the amount of secondary spinel is largely affected by firing temperature and raw material combination. The amount of secondary spinel shows a correlation with hot strength and corrosion resistance of the bricks, hence it is a useful index in evaluating the microstructure.
