Established in 1958, TRL Krosaki Refractories Limited (formerly Tata Refractories Limited) has pioneered refractory production in India. Today, this ISO 9001 company is the No. 1 refractory company in India with a wide range of products like basic bricks, dolomite and high alumina products, monolithics and silica refractories having a installed capacity of 450 000 t/a. Its key customers are the steel, cement, glass, copper and aluminium industries. Its main plant is located at Belpahar in the district of Jharsuguda in the State of Odisha/IN. The company has two subsidiaries TRL Asia Pvt. Ltd. in Singapore and TRL China Limited, a 100 % subsidiary of TRL Asia Pvt. Ltd. After the acquisition of 51 % shares of Tata Refractories Limited by Krosaki Harima Corporation (KHC)/JP from Tata Steel, Tata Refractories Ltd. has changed its name to TRL Krosaki Refractories Limited. Tata Steel continues to hold 26,46 % equity stake in TRL Krosaki. KHC and TRL Krosaki have jointly emerged as the 4th largest refractories manufacturer in the world. Managing Director Dr A.K.
