内容简介Preventing the adhesion of alumina on a submerged entry nozzle (SEN) is of great importance not only to avoid trouble in the casting operation but also to eliminate biased molten steel flow in the mold and to reduce the incidence of large inclusions due lo the adhered alumina dropping into molten steel". The mechanism of alumina adhesion can be classified into two types: oxidation of dissolved aluminum by CO and SiO gases emitted from the SEN refractory, and direct adhesion of alumina inclusions suspended in the molten steel''.
