内容简介Cement rotary kilns are making a major contribution to environmental conservation through exploiting their ability to safety dispose and recycle large amounts of industrial wastes. Changeover toward chrome-free refractories made rapid and steady progress for about the last ten years. Chrome-free bricks for the burning zone of cement rotary kilns (hereafter referred to as Cr-free bricks) are have been replaced mostly by improved magnesia-spinel system bricks (hereafter referred to as spinel bricks) In a similar way to conventional bricks, it is necessary to prepare chrome-free bricks using various kinds of materials according to the kiln characteristics, location in the kiln and various other factors. In a previous paper the authors reported one kind of improved brick and its actual performance '.However due to diversification of waste materials and the increase in the amount of waste disposed in a kiln and further an increase in the frequency in switching the sort of cement clinker being manufactured, the operating environment of refractory bricks has become increasingly more severe. In particular, the formation of a coating layer at high temperature in the burning zone. an essential protector of the lining, is apt to become unstable and therefore the development of bricks possessing superior coating adhesion ability is strongly required.
