The annual meeting of the OGG(one of the German glass societies) took place from 27-29.05.2013 in Bremen/DE. Besides the high-calibre programme of papers, a poster competition, the opening ceremony and conference evening were the highlights of this event. A well-rounded programme of visits to companies in the area (Ardagh Glass/container glass; Sande Stahlguss/manual casting of large-size components up to 45t; Beck/brewery; EADS Astrium/developments and production for aerospace; and Daimler/car manufacture) gave the just under 300 conference attendees the opportunity to inform themselves about developments in the glass industry and find out about world-renowned companies in other industries in the region.
