Refractory producers and refractory research institutes from throughout Europe have formed a research and innovation (R&1) consortium to improve testing standards for refractories. Based on the common understanding that testing standards for refractories show major weaknesses, the objective of the "ReStaR" project is to improve, promote and ensure their reliability, precision and efficiency.
