内容简介

Using MgCl2?H2O to control the high temperature expansion of alumina-spinel castables has been studied. The results indicated that it is very efficient to improve the volumetric stability of alumina-spinel castables bonded by calcium aluminate cements at 1500℃ by adding MgCl2?H2O.Microsilica is known by its counterbalancing effect on the in situ calcium hexaluminate(CA6) expansion in alumina- spinel castables. However, the decline of the castables expansion at 1500 ℃ by adding MgCl2?H2O is implemented by restraining the growth velocity of CA6 crystal in the castables at high temperature.
