内容简介Wet gunning methods are effective in reducing the work load and the time required for preheater maintenance. The selection and arrangement of gunning devices, suitable for each work place, and the amount of material to be gunned, are important factors in realizing the most effective improvement of the work, because a preheater can be as large as 80 m in height and 20 m in width. The use of a squeeze-pump, in addition to a piston pump, should be extremely valuable for the wet gunning method in almost all parts of a preheater. The wet gunning of low cement castable with a squeeze-pump is scheduled for the next periodic repair of the preheater. An off-line test of the equipment and castable has already been completed. Furthermore, application of the technology will be developed for a cooler and a kiln outlet.
