This report reviews the current global situation in the flat glass market and seeks to put it into an overall perspective. It outlines the countries and the companies which dominate the business and lead the way technically and commercially. Glass in general, and flat glass in particular, has made great advances resulting in a huge growth market especially since the commercial development of the float process. The rise in production has faltered slightly in the last five years and there has been some reorganisation but the market growth seems now again to show signs of recovery.
